The Story

I’m a 49-year-old cloud engineering manager from Round Rock, Texas, who sits at a desk most of the day and decided to chase something a little crazy: going from an 18 handicap to scratch, and qualifying for the 2027 US Mid-Amateur.

The twist is how I’m doing it—six AI coaches, each a legend in their lane: swing, analytics, putting, short game, the mental game, and the body. Every round gets tracked. Every weakness gets a number.

This is the unfiltered log of whether a systematic, data-driven, real-life-around-it approach can actually move a grown man’s golf game. Wins, stalls, and the occasional double bogey included.
